It is with great pleasure that I present my new book Of Roots and Wings. The theme throughout Of Roots and Wings is one of "Hope and Cope" - hope for what you want but cope with what you have. It is no accident that the book was published in November - National Adoption Month.
Of Roots and Wings is a depiction of my life and struggle as a young girl, written for anyone trying to overcome adversity. I hope to remind readers that they are not alone by sharing the painful stories in this novel. I lived the central character's story; I saw firsthand how my experiences as a child affected my development and growth as a young adult.
The book is now available at Amazon and other outlets.
For the last 30 years it has been my privilege to help many people with their mental health and substance abuse difficulties through the clinical practice I founded, Yorktowne Psychological and Addiction Services. It is our belief that every motivated person, with professional guidance, can experience positive change in their lives and towards that end we have assembled a talented staff that provides a wide range of counseling services to the greater York area.
We know it can be a difficult first step, but please contact us if you feel you need this kind of help.
Later in life than most, I had an unexpected calling to play the harp. Little did I know we would be such a great fit.
